The Story so far...

On the fringe of the Unknown Regions many worlds are murmuring about seceding from the Empire. On one particulary outspoken world Thrawn conducts an invasion to silence dissent and make an example of them for the surrounding systems. But the invasion meets with unexpectedly strong resistance and a number of Imperial officers of some importance are transported off planet as prisoners. Thrawn launches an invasion of the system where the prisoners are being held.

Prologue: While commanding a small unit of stormtroopers sent to squash a local band of rebels, you receive special orders and must return to the base. After making your way back through the canyons to the base, a shuttle takes you to a ship. After some research aboard the ship, you'll have some choices to make before your next mission begins. [ 1 ] [ 2 ]

Level 1: After choosing whether to free the prisoners or join the attack on a refueling station, you're on your way. A mutiny erupts on your ship and you must fight your way past the mutineers to escape.

    Objectives (Draft proposal)
  • Erase the data banks to keep valuable information out of the Republic's hands.
  • Sabotage the ship's engines to keep the [type of ship] from attacking loyal systems.
  • Disable the tractor beams.
  • Get to an escape pod.

Level 2:

Your escape pod crashes on a nearby planet, but all your friends' pods are vaporized by planetary lasers thought to be dormant. You must investigate the cause of this, and your explorations lead you to the discovery of a hidden research base housing the weapons control computer (MAL). You can't get in by conventional means so you find an access hatch to an underground series of sewage, maintenance, and subway tunnels.

You were the only (loyal) survivor of the mutiny, and after narrowly escaping from your ship, you crash land on a nearby planet. After some fruitless searching for some habitation, you stumble across an abandoned outpost. Seeking shelter, you attempt to enter, only to find to place protected by high-level security systems. Anyone with enough resources to remain hidden on an unknown system, protected by expensive and deadly defences, must have something to hide. Find another way into the base, and discover who (or what) has set up this base, and if they pose a danger to the Empire.

    Objectives (Draft proposal)
  • You were thrown down a gorge when you crashed. Find the wreckage of the pod to get your gear.
  • Find a way past the forcefields and turrets.
  • You must get a signal offplanet. Look for an alternate way into the base to find a transmitter, and investigate the planetary defenses.

Level 3: You start out in a sewer, and after restarting the ancient pumps and opening the flood gates, you are carried towards the base interior. You emerge in a series of hazardous maintenance tunnels filled with radioactive waste and exposed electrical coupling. Finally, you find an abandoned subterranean personnel carrier.

    Objectives (Draft proposal)
  • Activate the sewer pumps and open the ancient flood gates to get to the reservoir below the base.
  • Find your way into the subterranean transport tunnels from the maintenance tubes.
  • Activate the tram to get into the base.

Level 4: Your tram crashes inside the storage facility of the research department. You find out about MAL. After going through the facility you destroy MAL and get a signal offplanet, where you are picked up to begin the mission you originally chose. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] [ 4 ]

Level 5a: Refueling station [ 1 ] [ 2 ]

Level 5b: You must infiltrate the security complex alone, as it is too heavily fortified for a direct, frontal assault. You must disable the security system, release the prisoners and take control of the Command Center. Use the Command Center's communication system to signal Thrawn when you have completed your mission. [0] [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [A]

    Objectives
  • Sabotage the security system
  • Release the prisoners
  • Activate the lift to the Command Center
  • Take control of the Command Center
  • Transmit the 'all-clear' signal

After one of these final missions is completed, you are commended by Thrawn and given your next mission
