"It is my belief that threat of terrorism being touted as the justification for many of the actions of this administration is miniscule when compared to the jeopardy of permitting the executive branch of the government to rule unchecked. To help put things in perspective consider that despite the horrific nature of the 9/11 attacks less than 2,976 people died as a result. During same year in the US over ten times as many people, more than 40,000, died in automobile accidents. As of the time this article was written 2,580 men and women of the US military have been killed in Iraq.
If the situation continues as it is now the number of US citizens killed in Iraq will exceed the number killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks in early September of 2007."
